What we believe:

1) The Bible

We believe the scriptures of the Old and New Testament are God-breathed, inerrant, and a written record of His supernatural revelation of Himself to man. We believe it is applicable to every aspect of life. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; John 17:17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Hebrews 4:12)

2) The Trinity

We believe that there is one living and true GOD, eternally existing in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that God created all, upholds all, and governs all things. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 44:8, Matthew 28:19-20, John 10:30, and Hebrews 1:3)

3) God the Father

We believe in the person of God the Father, an infinite, eternal, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all those who come to Him through Jesus Christ. (1 Timothy 1:17, Deuteronomy 33:27, Psalms 90:2, Psalms 102:27, John 3:16, 4:24, and Titus 1:3)

4) God the Son

We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, sinless in His life, who made atonement for the sin of the world by His shed blood and death on the cross. We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, and His high priestly intercession for His people. We believe in His personal, visible and triumphant return to the world according to His promise. (Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 1:18-25, John 1:14, Hebrews 10:9, John 1:14, John 1:29, John 14:3, 1 John 2:1-2, 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17, Acts 1:11)

5) God the Holy Spirit

We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit, who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ; we believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide. (Acts 1:8, 2 Corinthians 3:18, Romans 8:26, Romans 15:13,16, Hebrews 9:14, John 6:13, John 14:16-17, and John 16:8-11)

6) Mankind

We believe that all people are sinners by nature and choice, falling short of God’s glory and therefore are under God’s righteous judgment. Yet God saves and gives new life to all who come to Him in repentance and faith, trusting in the Person and work of Jesus Christ. All who repent and believe should be baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in water by immersion. At the cross, Jesus Christ died in our place as our substitute, absorbing God’s wrath which we deserved. Because Jesus died for the sins of the world, the invitation to believe is open to all and whoever desires may come unto Jesus for new life and the forgiveness of sins. (Romans 3:23, Acts 3:19, Acts 20:21, Ephesians 2:1-3, Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 John 2:2, John 3:16, Matthew 11:28, and Revelation 22:17)

7) The Church

We believe in the Church. A living, spiritual body in which Christ is the Head and of which all believers in Jesus are members. We believe the purpose of the church is to lead believers toward maturity through the Word, fellowship, prayer, and communion. The church is a “commissioned people,” partnering with God to accomplish God’s purposes in this world. (Isaiah 49:6; Ephesians 1:22-23; Acts 2:28, 2:42; Romans 6:4; Matthew 28:18-20; Luke 22:19)
